It is perfect timing to add this new version of my USA soccer ball design, since the US team pulled out a surprise tie in their World Cup match. Soccer is not at the top of all American sports, but the US Soccer fans are filled with pride.
In the spirit of USA soccer, I took the stars and stripes of the flag and made it so that they appear to be painted onto the surface of that classic soccer ball shape that we are all used to. The usual branding is slightly visible at the bottom. Let’s see if US Soccer will be the last one standing once the 2010 World Cup championship has ended.
